Ladies Shoes Go Blue

Looking to update your ladies shoe collection? But not sure what colour to go for well apparently blue is one of the hottest colours around. According to Stylist “fashion’s in a blue mood as designers go crazy for intense sapphire and ultramarine.”

The Summer 2010 catwalks were awash with blue creations with the likes of Stephano Pilati atYves Saint Lauren, Stella McCartney and Peter Dundas at Emilio Pucci all featuring sapphire in the their collections. Sapphire blue is just as bright and bold as Emerald and Scarlet but is far easier to wear as it flatters every skin tone.

However, if you’re not daring enough to go for top –to- toe blue, a pair of new sapphire or ultramarine ladies shoes from popular brand Miss Sixty could be just the thing to update any outfit.

Stylist advises fashionistas “Top-to-toe ultramarine might look great on the catwalk but an easier way to wear the new blue is by breaking it into separates. A single pope of colour is enough to lift your look.”
They add that “keep the focus on the blue elements of your outfit by wearing this colour with crisp white or softly shaded neutrals –dove grey and peachy nude look particularly chic.”

And as Stylist reckons “brightly coloured heels are a key statement accessory. Ever so versatile!” And with bright blues adding a bright colour pop to any outfit particularly this season’s nudes a bright sapphire or ultramarine could be the chic answer when looking for bright coloured shoes. Of course the nautical look is still a key look this year so if you don’t fancy a bright blue look navy shoes, especially in a wedge, could be the answer – they’re still on trend but are a little more subtle than their brighter counterparts.

And for a truly fashion forward look you can go for a strappy cage heel or better still a clog which seems to be the fashion shoe of the moment having been seen on the likes of Alexa Chung and Agyness Deyn as well as on the catwalks.
